We are still working on our Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see? series. I also caught some photos of others working in centers, after they finished their art. I love the enthusiasm that these little friends have!
Kindergarten reviewed what sculptures are today. After listening to the story of Harold and The Purple Crayon, they started on their own yarn sculptures, inspired by Harold himself! We are patiently waiting to see what they look like when they dry!
1st-5th graders took a break from their current projects today to have a fun day with paint! We discussed the art of Jackson Pollock, who was an American painter and played a large part in the abstract expressionist movement. They looked at Pollock’s art and had the opportunity to create their own Pollock “splatter art”. As you can tell, we had a ton of fun getting messy with the paint!
