Upon completion of the abstract bird painting, Second and Third Grade have moved on to look at architecture and symmetry. We are currently working on perfectly symmetrical drawings of the Taj Mahal. The class was shocked at how easy it was to draw such a complex image, and keep both halves exactly the same. A quick transfer process allowed us to copy one half of a drawing onto the second half of the paper, making a complete mirror image. I think they’re coming along beautifully.
