After spending last week, and a portion of this week, finishing up the Klimt Peacock Project, everyone was ready to start something new. So, we began our lessons on light and form and, as students finished their Peacock Projects, they worked on practice drawings of spheres.
Since we’d already done a value scale, they knew how to recognize the different values. However, trying to make shades and tints with a pencil rather than with paint was a tricky new concept. It’ll take some practice, but they are quick learners so I’m sure it’ll be no time at all before they’re drawing spheres like pros.
