Can you believe that the holidays are upon us? Time flies! Just before Thanksgiving, we watched as huge snowflakes fell to the ground. Though they disappeared all too soon, it reminded me that holiday art is here, snowflakes included! As we continue to work through the Core Knowledge Curriculum for Visual Art, students will be creating holiday themed art projects using applicable standards. Fourth and fifth grade art students are finishing their aboriginal dreamings. Most second graders have almost finished their radial symmetry drawing, and will be moving on to ornaments in the style of Mexican folk art. Pre-school students will continue to create art based on their classroom themes and the current holiday season. Check back soon for pictures from the art class!
