Can you believe that the holidays are just around the corner? It’s been said that time flies when you’re having fun, and that’s just what we’ve been doing in art! Students have been working on finishing projects this week, and next week we will begin creating with holiday themes in mind. The pre-preppers have been exploring various media and methods, including painting with bubbles and shaving cream.
Preppers had a blast last week creating silly monsters and pumpkin patches.
Pre-K students have been learning how to draw birds. Ask them if they can explain it to you!
Kindergarten students and first graders created beautiful pumpkin paintings, which can be seen in the upstairs hallway
Currently, Kindergarten is working on family portraits and first grade is creating a Rousseau style jungle collage. Second grade just finished their landscape paintings of the school.
Now, we are moving on to radial symmetry. Third grade has been working hard on finishing totem poles.
Next, we will study Mexican folk art and creating holiday ornaments using repoussé. Fourth and fifth grade have worked hard on their castles, which will soon be on display in the gallery.
